This wine is picked from vineyards in the Hawke’s Bay high country of New Zealand. The soils are ancient river beds with a mix of free draining stony soils and clay loams.
Viticulture and Vinification
Vertical shoot positioned trellis was used with two canes pruned, providing an average of 11 tonnes per acre. Cool fermented with aging and stirring on lees.
A warm summer provided stunning flavours and structure.
Alcohol 12.5%, pH 3.6, titratable acidity 4.5 g/l, residual sugar 8.1 g/l.
