We are excited to release our first brilliant bubbly, the latest addition to our range. A delicious blend of half Chardonnay and half Pinot Noir grapes, this wine has a complex structure. On the palate, a creamy peach ripeness combines with complex brioche, nutty notes and lemon, beautifully balanced, finishing clean and dry.

Colour

Lemon hued warm gold colour.

Aroma

Creamy rich nose with a hint of toast, hazelnut and citrus.

Palate

A creamy peach ripeness combines with complex brioche, nutty notes and lemon, beautifully balanced, finishing clean and dry.

Winemaking

The base wine was blended from components which were aged on lees for up to five years.  The base wine underwent secondary fermentation to produce this complex structured Brut Cuvee.

This wine is produced from vineyards in the Marlborough and Hawke’s Bay regions of New Zealand.  The soils are ancient river beds with free draining stony soils and clay loams.

Viticulture

Vertical shoot positioned trellis was used with three canes pruned and spur pruning, laid down providing an average of 4.5 tonnes per acre.

Food Matching

This wine is delicious as an apertif, and very versatile for pairing with food.  Perfect with cheese, seafood, smoked salmon and fish.

Intensely aromatic with a blend of gooseberries, passionfruit and lime zest on the nose.

A burst of concentrated gooseberry and passionfruit flavours leads to superb fruit richness and a long textural mouth feel with a clean limey dry finish.

This wine is delicious as an apertif, with long lunches or chicken dinners, and is delightful with Thai spicy green lipped mussels.

Hãhã 2016 Hawke’s Bay Pinot GrisSam Kim 4 and a half star

We recently released our third vintage of our stylish cool climate Pinot Gris from the high country of Hawke’s Bay.  This luscious wine has proven to be a hit with our customers and is flying off the shelves.  The 2016 vintage has a gentle floral appeal on the nose, flowing into flavours of pear, apple and mango with a rich texture and mouth feel, finishing with a crisp clean dry finish.

Hãhã 2015 Marlborough Pinot Noir

A wonderful ruby-red colour, this is an up-front, juicy, primary-fruited Marlborough Pinot Noir with flavours of soft red berry fruit interwoven with subtle plum and liquorice notes, and a supple mouthfeel, finishing long and smooth.

Vertical shoot positioned trellis was used with two canes pruned and spur pruning, laid down providing an average of 3 tonnes per acre.  45% barrel French Oak aged, total maturation was for 8 months.

Vintage

A long hot summer provided rich full flavours and great structure.

This wine is perfect with rich duck, lamb and beef, and partners up well with smoked salmon.

Hãhã 2014 Marlborough Reserve Pinot Noir –

Spiegelau International Wine Competition gold medal

The 2014 vintage is the second vintage of our Reserve Pinot Noir. The wine has been aged in a French oak barrel for 12 months, and it is wonderfully fruited on the nose with black cherry and dark raspberry aromas. This is a full-bodied, rich Pinot Noir with bold fruit flavours of ripe plum and raspberries and nuances of spice and nutty oak.

Newly released and produced from gorgeous Hawke’s Bay fruit, the wonderful vibrant purple colour of this wine just invites you to sip it.  The appealing aroma of generous plum and blueberries with a hint of vanilla oak follow through with a hint of spice in the smooth round palate, with a long dry finish.
