We are excited to release our first brilliant bubbly, the latest addition to our range. A delicious blend of half Chardonnay and half Pinot Noir grapes, this wine has a complex structure. On the palate, a creamy peach ripeness combines with complex brioche, nutty notes and lemon, beautifully balanced, finishing clean and dry.

Lemon hued warm gold colour.

Aroma

Creamy rich nose with a hint of toast, hazelnut and citrus.

Palate

A creamy peach ripeness combines with complex brioche, nutty notes and lemon, beautifully balanced, finishing clean and dry.

Winemaking

The base wine was blended from components which were aged on lees for up to five years.  The base wine underwent secondary fermentation to produce this complex structured Brut Cuvee.

This wine is produced from vineyards in the Marlborough and Hawke’s Bay regions of New Zealand.  The soils are ancient river beds with free draining stony soils and clay loams.

Viticulture

Vertical shoot positioned trellis was used with three canes pruned and spur pruning, laid down providing an average of 4.5 tonnes per acre.

Food Matching

This wine is delicious as an apertif, and very versatile for pairing with food.  Perfect with cheese, seafood, smoked salmon and fish.

Sam Kim 4 and a half starWe recently released our third vintage of our stylish cool climate Pinot Gris from the high country of Hawke’s Bay.  This luscious wine has proven to be a hit with our customers and is flying off the shelves.  The 2016 vintage has a gentle floral appeal on the nose, flowing into flavours of pear, apple and mango with a rich texture and mouth feel, finishing with a crisp clean dry finish.

Gentle alpine floral notes with aromatic pear and honeysuckle.

Hand picked, low yield, wild yeast ferment in 45% oak with 20% malolactic fermentation.

Vintage

After low flowering early on, a long scorching summer came through with a perfect balance of fruit sweetness to acidity. Our fruit ripened consistently and evenly, producing stunning concentrated flavours.

Food Matching

This wine is delicious on its own, or with salads, chicken, and creamy seafood dishes like a rich scallop pasta.

A long hot summer provided rich full flavours and great structure.

Spiegelau International Wine Competition gold medalThis is the second vintage of our Reserve Pinot Noir. The wine has been aged in a French oak barrel for 12 months, and it is wonderfully fruited on the nose with black cherry and dark raspberry aromas. This is a full-bodied, rich Pinot Noir with bold fruit flavours of ripe plum and raspberries and nuances of spice and nutty oak.

Vertical shoot positioned trellis was used with two canes pruned and spur pruning, laid down providing an average of 3 tonnes per acre. 100% French Oak barrel aged for 12 months.
